In July 2020 I attended (online) the APPI bridging course (Australian Physiotherapy and Pilates Institute). I successfully passed the theory and practical assessments in December so I am now an APPI instructor.
I maintain an ongoing CPD to keep me up to date with research and training.
I chose Pilates with Scoliosis to be able to treat and teach a wider amount of patients who suffer with scoliosis.
I often volunteer at big events as there is always such a great atmosphere. I did post event massage for Ride London for cyclists raising money for The Alzheimer's Society.
When the Rugby World Cup came to London, I helped treat the Fijian Rugby team.
It has always been my dream to be involved with the Olympics so when it came to London I applied for a Games Maker role as a Sports Massage Therapist. I treated the rowers and canoeists at Dorney Lake.
I have been a full member of The Society of Sports Therapists since 2005 after obtaining a BSc (Hons) from The University of Teesside. I am covered under the Society's medical malpractice and public liability insurance scheme.
I am REPs (Register of Exercise Professionals) registered to teach Mat Based Pilates. I have full insurance through REPs.
